Samurai premiered to high praise at the 3rd Annual
Boston Film
Night, sponsored by Midnight Chimes Productions and Imagine Magazine at
Arlington's Regent Theatre.
We had a great time at the networking party afterwards and enjoyed
meeting a lot of other filmmakers and enthusiasts. Looking forward to

Jarrod Courtemanche and Frank Cormier entered the
8th
annual Scriptapalooza screenwriting competition with
thier script "Eleven". They reached the quarterfinals
category, which means, out of over 3,000 entries, they
placed in the top 330. Scriptapalooza is one of the
top screenwriting competitions in Hollywood and
shopped by major film production companies like
Paramount, HBO films, and the Donner's Company. Congrats to Frank and
Jarrod! |

VIRTUE: The Way of The Modern
Samurai will premiere at the 3rd Annual Boston Film
Night, sponsored by Midnight Chimes Productions and Imagine Magazine.
This years event takes place on Sunday, Sept. 17th
from 5pm to 10pm. There will be two shows, a Q&A with the
filmmakers, and an after party. It will take place, as always, at
Arlington's Regent Theatre. The
show is FREE to attend! |

Production for Virtue has wrapped. We are now
officialy in the post-production phase. Editing begins in earnest at
Digital Arts Studio. |

Production begins on Virtue. We will shoot from
the 8th to the 11th in Lowell, MA. We will be shooting at The Rally Cap
in Dracut, MA, Khoury's Karate in Tewksbury, MA, Major's Pub, Shedd
Park Playground, and on the streets of downtown Lowell, MA. As well as
inside a Cadillac SRX luxury sedan from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in
Lawrence, MA. We will also have a make-up shoot day on the 17th. The
cast and crew are eager and excited to begin another project in the
name of 'serious fun'. |

Mindbeside Studios has assembled some excellent
additional crew for their latest short film 'Virtue: The Way of The
Modern Samurai.' Tim O'Connor will take control of the lens as Director
of Photography. Rich Lombardi will bring his skills to the role of
Production Designer. Jeff De Biase, will consult on martial arts and
help conduct the fight choreography. |

Our short political satire 'Our Fellow
Countrymen' is an official selection for The Second Annual Boston
Film Night film festival on Sunday, Nov. 6th at the Regent
Theatre in Arlington, MA. Admission is free! So bring all

to draft a stage play for their dancers. Also collaborating is Dan
Holin of The Jehrico Road Project, a
charitable arts organization. |

Mike completed work on co-composing the score for
a short horror film called 'Acrylic Midnight'. The film
premiered on October 30th at the Somerville Theater in Somerville, MA.
Mike worked with Andrew Sniezek (director of Our Fellow Countrymen) who
also did special effects for the project. The project was produced by
Josh and Jake Epstien of Brothers Epstein Productions. |

Jason stars as 'Sam the mechanic' in 'The
Calling' by Tim O'Connor, professor of film acting at the Actor's
Workshop in Boston, MA. Production wrapped on 7/24. Jason met
Tim while taking a Film Acting class at the workshop. |

Jason is intermittently acting in the gothic,
sci-fi short 'A Separate War.' Written, directed, and produced by
Eamonn McGrail of Somerville, MA. This production's shooting schedule
is a testament to perseverance. Reminiscent of The Killing Hand in that
regard. |

Mike is currently writing a feature-length
screenplay called 'Urban Renewal.' Dealing with the hotly debated issue

a fourth comic show with Larry's Comics. These shows are perfect for
promoting The Killing Hand because of the congruency with comic-style
plotlines and imagery. The event is at the Radisson Hotel in
Chelmsford, MA from 10 to 3. This event features legendary DC Comics
artist Howard Porter. (Think FLASH.) As always, DVD's and T-shirts will
be available at discounted rates.

Show in Chelmsford, MA by Larry's Comics to showcase The Killing Hand.
This time we were seated adjacent to Ron Garney. Ron is the current
artist for the JLA comic book published by DC Comics and formerly drew
for Marvel. Good fun for all us geeks. |

The Killing Hand, our first feature-length film,
continues to draw attention, as indicated by the special invitation to
attend two comic book conventions in December. The film’s
storyline and dark imagery bode well with this burgeoning audience. The
first event will be on December 5th, at the Radisson Hotel in
Chelmsford, MA from 9 to 3, and the second will be on December 19th, 9
to 3, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston. The Killing Hand DVD and
custom-designed T-shirts will be available at discounted rates for
these shows. The events are hosted by Larry’s Comics of
Lowell, MA.

We were on a panel of local filmmakers in a
discussion on 'Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Film' at the Pollard
Memorial Library in Lowell, MA. Chaired by the Stephanie Jones
McCarthy, Executive Director of the Cultural Organization of Lowell,
the event featured a Q&A session and showcased movie clips from
the guest panel, including our trailers for The Killing Hand and Our
Fellow Countrymen. Other panelists included Steven Croke and Geoffrey
Douglas. The event will be aired on local cable sometime in the near
